Contractor Terms
Effective Date: April 20, 2026 · Version 1.0
1. Who These Terms Apply To
These Contractor Terms apply to anyone who accepts an invitation to join a team on GalaDesk — for example, team members, staff, and independent contractors invited by a business that uses GalaDesk. If you are a team administrator, account owner, or buyer of the GalaDesk service, our main Terms of Service applies to you instead.
2. About GalaDesk
GalaDesk is a product operated by Printmods, a sole proprietorship based in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States. GalaDesk is a software tool used by event businesses to coordinate their teams — scheduling, assignments, messaging, and pay tracking. You can reach us at daniel@galadesk.com.
3. GalaDesk Is Not Your Employer
GalaDesk is not your employer, staffing agency, or contractor-relationship counterparty. Your working relationship — whether as an employee, independent contractor, or otherwise — is with the business that invited you (the "Team Administrator"), not with GalaDesk or Printmods. GalaDesk provides only the software the Team Administrator uses to coordinate with you.
Questions about pay, hours, classification, taxes, assignments, or the terms of your engagement should be directed to the Team Administrator.
4. Acceptable Use
When using GalaDesk, you agree to:
- Use the platform only for legitimate work coordination with the team(s) that invited you.
- Keep your login credentials confidential and not share your account with anyone.
- Not misuse, copy, export, or redistribute other people's personal or business data you see inside the platform.
- Not attempt to access data, organizations, or accounts you have not been given permission to access.
- Not upload malicious code, spam, harassing content, or anything unlawful.
- Follow any additional rules your Team Administrator communicates to you.
We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these rules.
5. Your Data
Our Privacy Policy explains how GalaDesk collects, uses, and protects personal information. Key points for contractors and team members:
- The business that invited you (the Team Administrator) is the data controller of the roster information they upload about you — for example, your name, contact info, pay rates, assignment history, and notes. GalaDesk acts as their data processor for that data.
- If you want that roster information corrected, exported, or deleted, please contact your Team Administrator first. GalaDesk will assist them where required by law.
- GalaDesk is the data controller for account-level information you provide directly to us (such as your login email and password). You can contact us at daniel@galadesk.com about that data.
6. Leaving a Team
You can leave any team at any time by contacting your Team Administrator to be removed, or by closing your GalaDesk account. When you leave a team, you will lose access to that team's events, messages, and assignments going forward. Account data is retained according to the retention schedule in our Privacy Policy.
7. Communications
By joining a team on GalaDesk, you agree to receive operational messages related to the team(s) you have joined — for example, assignment notifications, schedule updates, shift reminders, and pay-related notices. These messages are a necessary part of the service.
Marketing communications from GalaDesk are separate and opt-in; you can unsubscribe from those at any time without affecting your operational messages.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Contractor Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice by email or an in-app notice before the changes take effect. Your continued use of GalaDesk after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
9. Governing Law
These Contractor Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, aligning with our main Terms of Service.
10. Contact
Questions about these Contractor Terms can be sent to daniel@galadesk.com. Questions about your specific work, pay, or assignments should go to your Team Administrator.
These Contractor Terms are provided for informational purposes and do not constitute legal advice. If you have questions about your specific rights or obligations, consult with a qualified attorney.
